Kruger Products

Kruger Products provides more than 300 jobs in the Bay of Quinte. With its investment of $50M in a Bay of Quinte-based expansion in 2016, Kruger Products boosted its Quinte West workforce from 100 jobs to over 300. The investment in the Trenton operations repurposed an existing 300,000 square foot building.

Kruger Products arrived in Bay of Quinte when it took over the operation of Metro Paper in 2014. Kruger’s CEO Mario Gosselin said the support of the Bay of Quinte region was integral to the success of the subsequent expansion, making the company’s investment in the area easier.

Since the expansion, Kruger Products has been nationally recognized as an industry leader in sustainability, having ranked 10th among Corporate Knights’ 2019 Best 50 Corporate Citizens in Canada. Kruger Products has been named to this list 2 years in a row.

Kruger Products employs 2,500 workers in North America with eight manufacturing locations located in key population centres that represent 90% of Canadian and 60% of U.S. consumers. The Trenton plant is dedicated to converting processes.
